one continuous clip...

Until recently when I import in FCP all my footage would come in in one continuous clip.
Now it breaks everytime the pause button was pressed instead just importing everything at once, is this a FCP setting or a DVX setting, I think it's a DVX setting. What do I need to set the DVX to to stop this?

Go to your Prefs, there's a setting telling FCP what to do with TC breaks. You have it set to make new clips. Set it to simply warn you after the fact.
