OnBoard Mic Recommendations

Hey All,

I noticed that the HPX500 Packages don't come with an on-board mic.

Do you all have any good shotgun mics that you recommend?

FYI
Just used the Rhode NTG-1 for two weeks in Africa and for the price it worked very well. I was surprised how good it sounded and have no complaints. It was with an A1 and could do descent man on the street interviews and sound came out pretty good (no sound person).
