Onboard ME66/K6

Hi all,

Just got my DVX100 at the weekend. Wow what a camera!!! One question about a ME66/K6 combination mic that I also bought. Has anyone got any experience of mounting this on the mic holder on the camera? As the mic is quite long, I dont want to put too much weight on the holder and break the thing off...

Also as I cant seem to get a short XLR cable, can I wind up the cable instead of hanving a meter hanging down to the floor? Is there any problems with doing this? Im not going to get feedback because the cable is wound up am I?

Would welcome your thoughts and experiences.

Movieman, you can trim your XLR cable, and then re-solder it at the XLR connector end. Anyone experienced with electronics can do that for you.
