Onboard Lighting Solutions

In building this AF-100 package, I gave absolutely no thought about an onboard camera light. I haul full Arri kits with me to shoots and an occasional grip truck.
A client wants me to shoot run & gun overseas, now I have to come up with a way to power a small led panel mounted on the handle. I have several NP-1 type batts laying around
with no way of mounting them in a batt holder. I just need a portable power solution for hand-held work.

i'm using a CPM Sidewinder shoulder mount.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Ronald, very cool - thanks. Are those batteries compatible with the AF-100? I also have small batteries for the Sound Devices Pix 240 but I doubt they would fit. Just don't want to end up taking 3 different battery configurations.

Thanks

there is a MUCH cheaper version led light then IKAN..... so called bi color 312 led :

do a search and u can find it even cheaper then ebay price i shown u here... just if u will decide to get it, get a version where filter is on magnets (like on pix i shown u).... as its a newer version, better one!

build quality is really good, very bright, i use it often! plus there is an extra dimmer for the temperature of the light, what i found very useful!

I have a Z-96 pannel I got off ebay a little bit back after using one on a friends shoot and being impressed by the color accuracy/output and the price. I often keep mine around on a little stand on larger shoots as well incase I need some fill or something really quickly and dont have time to run power and set up a light. It runs off of the standard sony batteries (that I also carry for the samurai), as well as AA's when all else fails. For a ~$60 light, I could not be happier, and it has held up very well.

I've used almost all on-board LED's out there and have even Mod'd some of my own. For virtuosity and slickness of design, the Cineroid with SMD emitters is hard to beat off the shelf solution. I have the version with switchable emitter panels (discontinued). No pics or review yet as I am way behind in my homework and work. Perhaps sometime in June. Here is the current lineup...
