On the lot with DVX

Hi,
I submitted the first film I ever shot with my DVX to On the Lot. Have to say that DVXuser was sooooooo helpful to me; first by guiding me to buy the camera and tons of valuable advice, from mic choices to Final Cut answers. I've learned a lot since I shot this and I'm still learning...

Thanks!
Rane

You did the score, too? Nice job.

I liked the atmosphere of the movie, but feel that it is a little too long in the beginning. There is hardly anything going on until the last minute and a half.

Good job though. Keep 'em coming.

Very nice, Rane. I really enjoyed this... right down my alley.

What do you use to score?

If you're looking for a critique, I really only have one thing: Too many cross dissolve's. Seems like every cut was a cross dissolve, where a straight cut would have done just fine.

Again, really nice.

p.s. Where can I see some of your other work?

Thanks for the comments! Yeah, thare are a lot of things I would do differently now...but I'm on to other projects. As for the score...I use Logic and assorted synths. I am a musician and I enjoy being able to create the right mood for a story.
I haven't put my other shorts online yet because 1) some festivals won't accept them if you do.... 2) I'm re-writing two of them and making them feature length.

Thanks again,
Rane
