on-camera monitors for 200HVX

ikan, marshall carrion, manhattan, smallhd, panasonic... there are dozens... whats your budget?
 
smallHD might be a good option for $800. they claim to be shipping on monday.
i have my ikan kit for sale over in the marketplace for $450
 
Thanks for the offer..... that's an excellent buy! I forgot to mention that at some point I would like to purchase a 35mm adapter so a flip image option would be nice. Does anyone make one that can use camera power?

most of the newer adapters have flip units now. so unless youre buying an old one, the flip thing isnt the issue it used to be. plus, if youre using an adapter, youre also going to be using a rails setup and adding an articulating arm to hang a monitor upside down is pretty standard.

i think the 8" panasonic will take camera power but it may only work with the higher end cameras.

if you search the forum, there has been a TON of discussion about the various brands and models. its a game of get what you pay for. and there are give and takes even in the pricey models.
 
Checked out a 7.9” Panasonic BT-LH80W HD/SD 16:9 LCD EVF/Monitor w. SDI/HD-SDI and I may just go for it... hard to beat the quality of this monitor. Doesn't take power off the HVX200 but you can purchase a power adapter that takes the same battery as the camera.

Now just looking for the best deal on one of these monitors.
