on camera lighting

Heya, sorry for the caps lock friends, my fone is playing up :)


just wanted your thoughts and/or suggestions on fixed lighting?
Im filming at a launch party for a friends website.. I will be hiring some lenses for the.event, but just wanted some thoughts on lighting, as it will be based in a club, with a red carpet atmosphere outside...

I have some primes f1.8 50mm 35mm and the tokina 16mm 2.8 at my disposal at the moment, looking to hire faster lenses, if anyone has suggestions on them aswell please..or some helpful. Hints for me that would be gladly appreciated..

For lighting I would rent a lightpanel LED or similar in size to a 12x12 with a gold mount or whatever battery the rental house uses for it and have a grip follow you with the light. These work great since you can dim or scrim depending on how much light you need for the situation.
