On Camera light for HVX200

I'm looking to buy a mountable light for my HVX200. Is that really true for on camera light? My budget is around $200 and it would be to shoot outdoor/indoor at night.
So far I looked at a bescor and cool-lux, can't remember the exact model but I think they were both outputting 100W. Also, I feel like I should for a light with a wide panel rather than a tiny little rectangle that seems to be fit better for a picture camera just because I feel like it would spread more light.. might be wrong about that one.

Any suggestion would greatly be appreciated,

What are you using this on-camera light for? Are you lighting the scene with other lights? If you're just using it as an eye-light, you don't need much wattage.

There seem to be some good LED solutions out there.
