I looked but didnt see an answer that i found fitting. My question being ive been shooting recently in situations where i need whites to blow out or blacks to drop off. The problem that i ran into was that my lcd screen on the camera was showing it being blown out or dropped off but when i captured it that was not the case. I was wondering if there was a way to calibrate it to better match what im recording.

THanks

1) You've got SMPTE bars you can use for calibration. You can adjust brightness, tint, etc..

2) Remember that the angle at which you view the LCD affects all of those things.

But in general, depending the LCD for an accurate image isn't the best way to go about it. You need a production monitor for that.
