Omni-Directional Lavalier

Hi,

I'm looking for suggestions for a good Wireless Omni-Directional Lavalier to work with my DVX100b.

My budget is about $450, anything out there you really like? Let me know.

most lavs you find are Omni i believe. check out the sennheiser g2 wireless . I got mine for $500-$550 (b4 discount) at DVcreators.net (DvEstore) They have dvxuser discounts...just mention that ur a member. the G3 is out also..but i duno the price. The g2 is prolly the best u'll get at that price. If ur in the USA the g2 maybe a problem (hence the g3) as i think they have stopped using that frequency or something or the other...dont worry...someone more knowledgable will come along soon and tell u . I'm not in the US so my G2 is great.

On another note...(not to hiijack the thread)...but C2V might be along soon...where can i get a fuzzy windsheild for the G2?

I second the sennheiser g2 wireless. I have happily been using it for a few years now.

Just make sure you get a mic PER person if your doing interviews and what not. :2vrolijk_08: And if so, that the receiver can get two signals at once.

Very few wireless mic receivers can handle two signals at once; in the portable "ENG" market, that narrows down to right around none. You need an entire mic/body pack/receiver system for each person.

Most of the serious audio guys who hang out at DVXUser will tell you that the Sennheiser systems are the bare minimum to be considered "pro" gear (and by "'pro' gear," they mean "usable"); they'll also tell you to ditch the stock ME2 microphone for something better as soon as possible, preferably within seven seconds of ordering the Sennheiser system.

And just for the record, the Sennheiser G2 was discontinued earlier this year in favor of the G3, so that is probably what anyone's looking at buying at this point (unless someone has unsold stock on the G2's).
