Olympus Zuiko 14-35mm noisy aperture change

I finally got my adaptor for my new 14-35mm. The lens looks terrific, but, when changing the aperture it makes a very loud "click" noise. Under normal circumstances I work with a sound man so it won´t be a problem, but it would be nice to know I could use an onboard mic without hearing load lens noises if I would change aperture during a shot. My first job with the camera will be a documentary series, where I know I will have to change aperture during long takes.
So I wonder if this is normal, or there is something wrong with my lens?

I know it´s a still lens where these things dosen´t matter, but I never heard such a loud lens before

Thanks, I just found it louder than I remember from Canon.
Do you have the 35-100 as well?
I was thinking of getting it, but it is out of stock here

People have been referring to this as horrific clicking with the Zuikos--in another thread. Mine click, too, but do it quietly... they're not cinema lenses so I can't expect too much in that regard. The end result is great though. Beautiful images. Soon (next several months) we'll have more lenses to choose from for this awesome little camera.

I just looked at some test shots on my 42" Panasonic TV. Super sharp. Great feel to this lens. CAmera looks a little better with this on, than the 20mm Pancake I´ve had on so far
