Now that I sold my AF100 and most of the 4/3 lenses I had with it, I decided to sell the rest of my 4/3 stuff. So I am selling my Olympus E-5 camera body and 50mm 2.0 macro lens.
Let me tell you a little story: When I bought my AF100 and two wonderful Olympus lenses, the 14-35/2.0 and the 35-100/2.0, I thought it would be smart to get a body that would work with the same lenses so when I traveled with the af100 I would just take the E5 body and I could travel light and be able to do video and stills. To my surprise, the E-5 is fantastic. First, even though it shoots raw, the jpegs are so beautiful, the colors so rich, it looks better straight from the camera than my old 5D mk2 ever did. Also, I never trusted auto white balance with any camera before, but I read, and later observed it was true, that on the E-5 the color accuracy of the auto wb was uncanny.
So I bought the 50mm macro, which has a very good reputation so that I could also shoot macro with my AF100 and/or the E-5. What a great little lens.
Now that I don't have the af100, and don't have any lenses except the macro lens, I have gone back to Canon, with all those canon lenses I had sitting around. So this wonderful little camera just sits in my safe. If I could find the 14-35/2.0 again I would keep it, but that lens is just so back ordered. So I decided to sell what I have left.
The lens is only a couple of months old, still in perfect condition, you would not know it has been out of the box. I have all the original packing materials and still virgin warranty card.
The camera has seen more activity than the lens, but it still looks brand new. No dings, scratches, marks or dust on it. And it also has the original box and virgin warranty card.
Both items are back ordered at B&H, I guess I am not the only one that thought this was a good addition to the AF100.
I am selling the lens for $450 and the body for $1500, or both together for $1,850. Paypal accepted. Shipping extra.
