Olympus 35-100 with follow focus inconsistent

I'm afraid I may know the answer, but does anyone have advice on how I can get my Zacuto follow focus to work reproducibly on this lens? The electronic focus seems to shift out of sync with the degrees of turning of the follow focus dial on repeated pulls, so it is unreliable to mark focus end points on the follow focus dial. The lens has an electronic focus it seems rather than a mechanical focus ring and it drifts on repeated focus pulls.
I still find the follow focus more ergonomic than grasping a lens focus ring, but hoped I could get reproducability as well. Any workarounds or advice appreciated!

I have just finished a 4 days production with the AF-100 and olympus 14-54 & 50-200
After few shots in the first day my focus puller started to use the focus numbers in the LCD as his
marks, in it was very usfull, i used a small onboard monitor to operate

I have and it works but with a slight delay when pulling focus and iris with the 14-140.

editman,

Ddi you ever figure out the iris issue you had when using the Manfrotto RC with the 14-35mm/2.0?

And have you ever tried it on a 100-300mm? I'd particularly like to use a remote on this lens.

Thanks,
Bern

The only solution is to use one of the electronic focus devices like Manfrottos 521PFI.
Thank you. I have a Bebob that lacks the max / min focus for rack focus. The iris won't go lower than 2.2 wit hthis unit on my olympus lens. I hava a Lumix 14-140 on the way.

I am often a "one-man-band," but I can see the benefit in having a focus person helping me.
Thank you!

Editman,

Do the stops on Manfrottos 521PFI work accurately and repeatably with the Lumix lenses? My Foxi drifts and will only open iris to 2.2 but otherwise its very nice...

I tried that on my Olympus 11-22 and it's a decent work around. Things get fast near infinity but what the heck, it works. Thanks for the tip.

Anyone else have experience with the Olympus 35-100mm and electronic follow focus?

I've used the Bebob Foxi with 14-140, 100-300, and 45mm lumix lenses, with mostly good results. Hoping to use it with Olympus zooms, but the 2.2 iris limit would be slightly annoying...
