GH2 Olympus 14-54mm f2.8-3.5II Vs the 14-140 Kit lens

Yes I noticed that too about the Mark I, a tonne cheaper.
They changed the focusing motor on it though didn't they? does that make it much slower? any other disadvantages vs the Mark II on a GH2?

14-140 does parfocal, OIS, fast silent AF, but sucks in low lighting. 14-54 is faster, varifocal, but no OIS. 14-50 lens is faster, varifocal, OIS, but slow AF.

The 14-140mm is not parfocal. Come to think of it are any of the 4/3s m4/3s lenses parfocal?

What about the Olympus 11-22mm or the Tokina 11-16mm F2.8? I have wondered how those lenses would work for video with the GH2 in ETC mode.

The 11-22mm would be autofocus and it doesn’t have a constant aperture. However, it looks like a decent lens for its price and it could yield 11-22mm, 28.6-58mm, and 43-86mm with ETC modes. It lacks IS but that might not be an issue up to 58mm.

The Tokina would be a constant F2.8 aperture but it is MF only. However, in a Nikon mount it could have continuous aperture control via the inexpensive adapter. It would yield 11-16mm, 29-42mm, and 43-62mm.

Are either of those lenses parfocal?

I haven't used the Mark II, but my understanding is that it is slower, according to the Panasonic GH2 lens compatibility chart. Other than AF, I don't think there are any other disadvantages.
