Olympus 14-54mm f2.8-3.5 a good general purpose lens?

Hello!

Does anyone know how an Olympus 14-54mm f2.8-3.5 works on a Panasonic af100 / af101 please. It looks like a better option to Lumix 14-140 in many ways and I can see the faster operation being very useful. The Olympus 14-35mm would be ace at a constant f2 but its a tad pricey for my stretched budget.

I am just about to order a Panny AF101 and although have found refs to this lens here it is mainly to do with SLR cameras not the AF100/101.

If anyone is using this lens on their camera I would love to hear how you are finding it.

Alex

PS Hello forum, this is post #1, nice to meet you all. Looks a good place to be...
PPS Barry, I really appreciate all the useful posts and articles you have written.

I have it - it's fine for general purpose.

The focus is electronically controlled - not mechanically - so I didn't bother to put a follow focus ring on it. I'll just treat it like an ENG lens.

As with all SLR lenses, it stops down in 1/3 increments, not smoothly like on the HVX200 or a real ENG lens.

It would be nice if it were f/2.8 constant. I might trade it in for a used Tokina 16-50 f/2.8 once the Birger EOS mount is released (to use in conjunction with my 11-16)
