Olympus 14-35mm f2.0 tripod mount?

Anyone have a good tripod mounting solution for the Olympus 14-35mm f2.0? Ideally, I'd prefer to mount it directly to the tripod head in a rotating lens collar, but there doesn't appear to be enough space for a fixed mount on the lens itself. I'm also wondering if the AF100's M4/3 lens mount is strong enough to support the weight of the camera itself?

the weight limit on the AF100 lens mount is 2.2lbs. I wouldn't risk hanging the body off the lens, the way you described. I've been using that lens with no support, as it's right on the weight limit with that lens.

Why might I ask, would you want to support the lens on the tripod?
You could always just get a rail lens support.

I find the rotating collar on the Olympus 35-100mm f2.0 very convenient for leveling the camera when using a non-vertical tripod/head. It also makes it possible to swap in a B-camera without dismounting the lens.

I've had the 14-35 lens with my GH1 and now the AF100 and I never added additional support with it. The lens is a great, sharp, fast lens but if only Olympus could prevent the lens from bouncing its iris up and down about a 1/3 of a stop based on zoom setting... it would be a whole lot better. If you're shooting spontaneous dialogue, it's great to be able to pop in or out a few millimeters to emphasize something and you really don't want or expect an iris change...
