Old on purpose

love it we can all relate to knowing some one like this... great little vignettes and I like the pacing in the begging. Had you tried changing the edit of the last two scenes so that you first see the guy talking on the phone about driving slow and then show the punchline of them doing it on purpose?

Very nicely done. So nice, in fact, I forgot why I was watching it--which was to check out the footage...but I got wrapped up in the world instead. So...back to the footage. You really controlled the depth of field--some shots were very deep focus even though you could have done shallow depth-of-field through the whole thing--a lot of short filmmakers might have shot everything shallow just because the camera would allow them to.

Again, excellent little film.

Living in the midst of zillions of retirees, this cracked my funny bone in half! Nicely done!

Reminds me of a Miami bumper sticker from a while back: "When I get old, I'm moving to New York and driving slow in the left lane..."

Very clever. Sending the link to my Dad. I am sure he will love it.

So was this a commercial on spec or just something for fun? Tell us more why you made this.

Good work!

thanks for all the kind words. This was done for a contest for Pepsi at mofilm.com. here is a link to there about page since they can explain what they do better than I

http://www.mofilm.com/about/.

Jody Lauren Miller was the Director and Writer and the real brains behind the story, I and my trusty af100 just made the pretty pictures. JLM also edited the spot.

The AF100 is making things like this contest really fun to do with great results

Great idea ( that certainly could be expanded upon into a longer form) and nicely shot.

Here in Sweden one tv channel broadcasted a comedy candid camera show this winter with the basic premise was having OAPs behaving obnoxious, lewd or plain out weird in front of a unknowing public, preferably young adults. Not my cup of tea but it was pretty popular.

This spot has way better cinematography though.
