Old Nikon 50mm 1.4 lens and video pedestal

Was shooting with this lens for the first time this weekend (b-roll) and noticed that it lifted the video pedestal in some shots. Luckily I was able to correct with FCP color corrector. Anyone else ever experienced this? Perhaps chromic aberration?
 
My old nikons don't crush the blacks as much as my new canon's (i.e. 50mm 1.8) do. They are flatter less contrasty/vibrant, but do grade well.

All lenses have a slightly different look to the colors and contrast of the image. What are you comparing it to?
