OLD documentary mixing 24 Advanced and interlaced

I have some old footage I'm trying to mix together for a documentary.
At first I thought it was a capture issue.
Everything should be 24fps advanced pull down
got some footage from one of my shooters in another state on his DVX
it seems to be that non of the footage is Advanced or at 24

I'm not exactly sure but everytime i capture it advanced the format says it's 29.97 interlaced..I guess he messed up

not sure whats best to do
just live with it as is in the sequence? I compressor-ed it to 23.97 progressive but it doesn't look or act any different....

I would guess so.. but I think you got a way to convert the 60i to 24p but it would be fake but could probably help you..

If you capture everything at 29.97, it should all go together smoothly, both the 60i and anything that was recorded at 24p or 24pa.
