Old 8 ft. crane FS

Ok, here's the deal. I got an 8 ft. crane, one of the older Kessler model when they used to sell them on ebay. Just to be clear, this is NOT compatible with any of Kessler's current accessory (I checked). The crane itself lacks an auto-leveling feature and the tilt isn't very smooth. I suspect that a screw is loose or something. The crane is built like a tank though; everything is solid aluminum. I'm selling this because it's not usable in it's current state and I don't have the inclination or the time to fix it up. This is meant for someone who's interested in making their own DIY crane and want a ready-made one to fix up. I've been using the current Kessler model and from what I've seen it's not very different from the older model at all. Someone with DIY experience can definitely fix it up with a little effort.

I'll sell this for $50 OBO + shipping and Paypal, or preferably pickup in the Berkeley area. I would really prefer pick up because this thing is pretty darn heavy and shipping can be costly.

I will take pictures of the crane and update this thread tomorrow. If interested PM or email me. Any question, you can also talk directly to me on AIM as well.

I may be interested as I'm across the bay. Definitely would need some pics so at the very least I'd know what I'm getting myself in to(Academy of Art student).

Thanks,

Dean

Sorry for the late pics, but here they are!

Is it collapsible somewhat? Not thinking of taking it on the BART, but I would have to rent a car if I were to plan on attempting this. Just how much work(fixing & sprucing up) does it need?

Edit: That second pic, if it didn't have Kessler Crane imprinted on the side, I would have sworn it was a ladder missing a few steps.
