Yes you want the 20mm BBG.
I ordered my Oktava last Monday. And Ordered the neccessary accessories, the BBG and Windjammer (since I do plan on using it outside a little bit) and K-SSM shockmount. Received the accessories yesterday. Very cool, very overly priced but still excited to put on the MK.
(The furry little windjammer (not so little actually) I almost want to put it on my head and call it a [SIZE=-1]ushanka (those russian hats =) Well not THAT big but still =)
(And btw if you call and order your stuff from EVS, tell them you are a DVXuser and they should give you a nice little discount =)

ok, lets get controversial here.
Ive had an oktava for around 6 months now, and all I use is the crap-o windscreen it came with.
However, I never use the mic outside. And I DO have a rycote 19mm shockmount on the mic. And I try and stay away from really fast boom movements where I can.
So, I wouldnt say the BBG is compulsory, but if you wanna do super fast moves, run and gun, outside work etc etc etc then I would say get it, or at least something close to it.
How about these new smoothies from rycote that got released at NAB? Anyone got one or checked them out? Apparently its close to a zep, but costs what a softy does...
