Oktava foamie thing...

I use it, it works fine for insulating against the wind but supposedly it won't do if you swing the mic hard. I haven't really try doing that but for on camera work it's fine.

It's alright... nothing like a bbg... but not bad for indoor work. My biggest complaint for those is that they can fall off of a swinging boom... when I had those I actually ran a strip of gaffer's tape along the back onto the mic.

In reality... if you swing the Oktava so hard with that screen that you get wind rumble through the screen you're probably also going to get handling noise anyway... unless you have an 80hz low-cut supplied by a mixer.

I've also begun taping some of these to the mic, as I, and a few other people, have all lost them while angling downward and moving the mic; slid right off and fell into the shot. We got a good laugh though.

Also, Mattinstl's right... if you swing it hard enough to get wind noise through that, you probably shouldn't be swinging the mic that hard anyway.
