My computer is not detecting my camera, So I plan on getting it repaire where can I take it to get it repaired? (before i do that i'm going to buy another firewire cable What kind of cable should I ask for (1394, 4pin what etc......) I need to know cause I have a shoot real soon so please somebody help me out.:Drogar-Kriz(DBG):
 
Try another camera. You shouldn't use your DVX for capturing anyway, just so you don't dirty the DVX'S heads when they don't need to be.

Try this first.

So using another camera for capturing means taking the mini dv out and putting it in the other camera and capture from that camera? If so will it take away anything from my footage (24p still will be in 24 p?)
 
No, the footage was already shot on the 24p. You lose no quality even when using a POS camera. VCR mode is the same kind of quality play back regardless of the camera.
