Okay, what's going on here?

Sorry, I did a search and didn't quite find exactly what I was looking for so here goes...

I shot an outdoor service for our podcast and broadcast yesterday and I'm not sure why I'm getting the interlaced look when I shot it in 30p. I'm seeing those comb lines and it's driving me nuts. I've only had the DVX100b for about a week and this is my second shoot, so please forgive my newbie-ness. It could be my settings in FCP but any advice would certainly be appreciated at this point. Thanks all. (BTW, I'm very happy with the camera itself after owning many Canons - an XL1, XL2 and even an XH-A1)

It does sound as though it's your settings in FCP. There is a FCP section on dvxuser, where you will get a more complete answer. I think you need to:

1. Select "Audio/Video settings" from the "Final Cut Pro" menu.

2. Click the "Sequence Presets" tab.

3. Select the "DV NTSC 48 kHz" preset.

4. Click the "Edit..." button. (This will automatically duplicate the preset, because it is locked.)

5. Change the "Field Dominance" to "None".
