Okay, let's do this

I'm buying a DSLR! I don't know what to get though...

I want to be able to shoot progressive 24 fps. I'm feeling the Canon T2i because of the low price, but is there another affordable option? Am I being shortchanged if I get the T2i? Shooting quality stills is a plus, but the main purpose is video!

Your thoughts on the matter?

T2i or GH1. Try to get one of each in your hands to hold and play with, then make a decision based on which one "feels" best to you. I've shot with both, and think each one has a lot of things going for it.

The Canon ones are better for stills. The GH1 comes with a great lens, and it's much more user friendly for video. I love my 7D for a lot of reasons, with video especially the easy workflow, but I'll always grab the GH1 as a lone event camera. Which is unfortunate, since I'd hoped to sell one.
