So I have been a long time reader of these boards, and I have owned a GH1 since march 2010. Now, I feel like a complete idiot, but for some reason I can not figure out how to change the 50p/60p etc, settings. I have looked in the manual, and sorry if it's in there or if someone has already asked this, i just feel so stupid haha.
 
It sounds like you are trying to switch between NTSC and PAL - which can only be done with the "Ptool" firmware hacker. Is that what you had in mind?
 
Yeah, the GH1 cannot, by itself, switch 50hz/60hz. If you want to do that, you'd have to hack it with Ptool.

If you're talking about changing between 720/30p, 720/60p, and 1080/24p, that's what the movie quality menu setting is for. FHD = 1080/24p, SH = 720/60p, and MJPG = 720/30p.
 
Okay, yes Barry_Green, I was referring to the option of 720/30p, etc. I had no idea it was preset and so easy, I thought it was a totally different option. Thank you haha, I feel dumb. and Ozpeter, thank you for trying to help as well.
