OK Now that one has shot with the camera

If you're editing on say on a Mac G5, and you have Final Cut Pro and you've shot a 24 p project with the HD100... how does one actually go about capturing editing and putting the footage back onto tape? I hear FCP doesen't support the HD100 right now... surely some people are ediiting on macs, but how? I heard of some software plugins but I also hear that they mess up the audio... could someone please shed some light on this subject.

Tim Dashwood and Nate Weaver both have experience with this; hopefully they'll write in.

As of now there is no native 24p support in FCP for JVC HDV. The only way that I know of to get around that is to use the Lumiere plug-in.
