The next grab show you the incredible drop of frames that take place during a transfer from my cam to my computer.
If anyone know why this happen, oh please tell me how I fix it.

First let me tell you how I did

A shot in my DVX100b at 24p then I used my old samsung dsc23 mini dv camcorder as a playback player to upload the video to my computer and storage in a external hd. (via firewire)
My edit tool is sony vega 6 -and premiere element both with the same problem when capture video.

But the misterous is here, when I used an old version of pinnacle (studio8) theres no any drop frame and the video was captured accurate.
Yes I know, the solution is use always pinnacle, but I want to understand why Vegas6 and Premiere ELements are doing this to me:crybaby: Thank you crew

PD Sorry about my english

How fast is your computer? What are the specs? It could be a lot of things...Are you running other programs?

Several months ago, I had the same problem. I was dropping frames left and right. It was driving me MAD. I would have to re-capture the same clip several times so I could combine the two to ensure there were no dropped frames.

I wound up cleaning up my computer by defragmenting the hard drive. That helped a little. I made sure NOTHING was open but premiere. That helped a little. I made sure I had no monitor playback during capture, and that helped a little. But, nothing seemed to cure the problem entirely.

The only thing that wound up working for me was reformatting my entire hard drive. Its a big pain in the neck but I'll only drop a frame once in a while as opposed to 7 times a minute.
