Oh dear... how am I going to do this?

We just hung a 6 tube x 48" T8 high bay surface mount industrial light fixture in Suzy's painting studio for general illumination with Phillips 5000K 90CRI tubes. That thing puts out an astounding amount of light for just $80 plus the tubes. Simple sheet metal housing would be easy to adapt for stand rigging. Don't know how the ballast is for flicker, but that could be changed if needed. Haven't stuck a meter under it yet but an educated guess would be in the 40fc range average over most of a 750 square foot room from 10 foot ceiling.

I'll tell you, though, shooting with natural profile and saturation / contrast dialed all the way down is flatter than any GH camera I've used yet (I haven't used a GH4). So maybe you'll have better luck grading this time?

To be honest my hacked GH2 footage grades better than GH3... so if G6 has the GH2 sensor (?) with some improvements that is promising in theory, even though bitrate is lower than GH3 (from what I can tell).

Also there are several brands of "speedboster" knock-offs on ebay right now... hmm. The RJ seems to be the most reviewed, on the other hand this was the case with vari-ND filters back in the day as well... the popular ones was actually quite bad. Hmm, always a gamble buying Chinese stuff... sometimes great sometimes not so.

edit: Wow, G6 is amazing. Better shadow detail than GH3. If this thing gets a bitrate hack it will be a monster
