Offloading P2 cards Tipp for PCMCIA Reader

Hi,

maybe this is interesting for some of you. I recently ordered a PCI to PCMCIA adaptor here:

http://www.shopdigi.com/product.aspx?pf_id=PCD-TP101CS-B

I got it today and set it up. It works really well - I get transfer speeds up to 60MB a second. I can now offload a 16GB P2 card in about 5 minutes to my PC.

And the great thing is the PCMCIA slot is on the front side of my PC. Great working now.

Cheers

That's the Same reader as the AMTRON http://www.amtron.com/reader/pcdtp110cs.htm

Been out for years, works well in windows boxes, I have one working on my Apple Macpro with a PCIe to PCI adapter , only issue is on the Mac Leopard OS, it's only 99% stable.
On earlier Apple Mac's with Tiger OS 10.4.8 and PCI connect it works well too.
On windows XP it works great...

Cheers
