OE AF100 battery

[Oliver Rush]

I am trying to find a OE Panasonic AF100 battery. Long story, but a production lost both my OEM batteries... I know where to get replacement aftermarket batteries, but I want to replace my real OEM batteries with real OEM batteries, especially as I was not the one who lost them. Anyway, I keep finding the slightly larger VBG6 and various knock-offs and aftermarket ones, but I am looking for the exact battery that came with the camera. If anyone knows the exact part number or has a link to where I can buy one I would appreciate it.

In my kit I carry one of the smaller batteries and several of the larger VW-VBG6 ones. The model number on the smaller one is CGA-E/625. Its marked as 7.2v, 5400mAh the same as the taller VBG6 ones.

Good luck on your quest. In my experience, the OEM batteries definitely outperform (at least most of) the cheaper aftermarket ones.

Thanks for the model number, that was a big help. Unfortunately, I still cant find a place that carries them? Do you know where I can buy one? I have several of the VBG6 batteries, which work fine for day to day stuff, but I kept these as I get another hour plus out of them with out changing bats, which for certain long form recordings makes a big difference.

I know a year or so ago they were not available, but I would assume by now that you would be able to buy replacement OEM parts...
