Odyssey7Q video tour

This took a little longer for me to get out then I'd planned. This link is to the VIDEOS page of our website. Today we put up my three-part overview of the Odyssey7Q, Getting Started, Lower Tool Bar (Monitor Controls), Upper Tool bar (Recording Controls). 35 minutes of nerdism for y'all to kick back on.

These videos will be included on the SSDs we deliver with the Odyssey from now on. That is at least for the next few weeks or so until I have to update them.

Please note that these are general overview videos. I'll be making some more specific short videos focusing on individual aspects of the Odyssey7Q.

Enjoy.

It is not included, but instead an accessory we manufacture. You can get it from any of our dealers.

Awesome videos Mitch! Thanks for doing these, very helpful. Reminds of when you were doing the At the Bench series :)

This really should be a benchmark for all fllm accessory company out there. Manuals are great, but nothing quite like watching an expert operate a complex piece of machinery live.

Thanks again!

Great single-shot videos!! Its good to know the device before getting it (hopefully soon in europe ;-) I'm looking forward to your specific videos!

But single shot is absolutely right for this kind of video. I was watching some videos recently from a certain slider manufacturer that were similar in concept - close up product vids where they insisted in using a slider for the close product shots. It was SOOO annoying and totally not right for that particular production - really got in the way of the focus of the content. By the way I love the kit they make, just not the style of their tech videos.

Yeah I was kidding. I generally favor single shot videos for this sort of product video whenever possible. Sometimes a close-up or a cutaway to an example image is needed, but otherwise it's all just distraction from the real information at hand. It means more work for me as I gotta get it right in one take, but I prefer it that way. Most of the videos I did at AbelCine were the same way. I like to think of them as if I were seated across the table from the viewer and demostrating the device at hand.

Anyway, more videos coming soon.
