Hi,

I'm hoping someone may help (Sorry if its already been said, I couldn't find an answer on recent pages), is there a way to tell the battery level if using the Sony FS700 batteries to run the Odyssey?

I was doing some shooting today and realised that I couldn't see the battery level, and was worries if it died during a shot could that corrupt the footage?

If anyone has any answers, or how you handle the situation help would be appreciated,

Regards,
Matt

Hey Matt,
The only way to see "that I know of" is to keep an eye on the voltage. Also when it goes under a certain limit it will warn you. I think i t is 6.8 or 6.7. From my experience it never died during a shot but when low enough it would not led me record anymore. So when you reach 6.8 it might be a good idea to switch battery. People might even say that you should switch when you reach 6.9 to be on the safe side

Thanks mate, appreciate the feedback I'll keep an eye on the voltage. It's good to know too that it stops recording so at least it signals it's nearly empty

If you take a look at the manual it explains exactly how the voltage is indicated and when recording is prevented to protect you from power failure. The manual is available on our website for download.

Thanks Mitch, I did read the manual when I first received it but was too excited and must of missed it. I read over again
