I can't be the first to notice this surely?

It looks like the + is basically HDMI 1.4a which means it can record the A7s UHD now. Is that the only change inside, i'm hoping Mitch can confirm?

Also the PR i saw wasn't that clear about an upgrade path, it appears that it's the same price but there's no mention of upgrade just some kind of loyalty discount on owning both of them (i only need one!)? Which begs the question whether this new HDMI functionality can be retrofitted to a 7Q (assume not) or any plans for an external box (no mention).

Is there any trade in planned or possible i wonder?

Well shucks. I was hoping I could just send in my 7Q for an upgrade. Keep it simple. I don't need two at all. Is it going to be worth it to use the "loyalty program" vs just buying the Atomos. I'll have to take a look at numbers and...

Man... was anyone else hoping you could just send it in for an upgrade or is it just me?
 
Guys, can we try to keep this to one thread? I'm happy to answer all questions but this makes it hard for me to keep track. Please port them over to the thread Matt linked above.
