Odyssey 7Q "Shut Down" Problem/Suggestion

Hello,

Is any one else experiencing a difficult time powering down the 7Q using the touch screen confirmation? I find myself pressing the shut down button on the side of the 7Q and then sometimes having to press the screen confirmation 3 or 4 times to get the system to recognize my desire to shut the unit down.

Someone else had made a suggestion in a different post about the possibility of having the mechanical power button (on the left side of the 7Q) reconfigured to so that it could be pushed twice to power the unit down thereby eliminating the need to confirm the shut down on the touch screen. I would love to see this option.

Maybe it is the fact that I have 10 thumbs, or maybe the defined area on the touch screen for that button is too small, but I just have a hell of a time getting the unit to power down. I do not have an issue with the Odyssey recognizing my input on any of the other touch screeen menues or buttons.

I will discuss the issue with our engineers and note the suggestion for an alternative shutdown option.
Thank you Mitch. If nothing else, I think enlarging the touch area for the confirmation button would help greatly. As I mentioned, I do not seem to have a problem with any of the other touch screen functions.

Are you getting the "Shut Down" message at the bottom of the screen, when first clicked.

I didn't notice it on mine for a few days and was clicking several times, like you. It takes around 5-10 seconds to power down, after 1st click.

Jay - only after pressing the confirmation button a few times do I get the "Shut Down" message at the bottom of the screen. Once I see the message at the bottom of the screen, I know that it has recognized my desire to shut down and from there I just wait for it to close the files and shut down.
