Odyssey 7Q Screen Protector

So the 7Q went out with someone else this weekend. And there is a nice gouge/scratch in the screen protector. In fact it is all scratched up... But the one spot it went through. So in any case I need a new one. I found this link:

Is the legitimate? Is anyone else selling them? I don't think it has come up yet but me being the unlucky SOB I am I haven't even really gotten to use it yet! Oh well, thanks guys!
 
I have no idea who XO Skins (the company in the first link) is. Our screen protoector is made by ProK Solutions (the company in the second link).

ProK and Convergent Design sell replacement screen protectors for the same price, $35. Ours are available through our dealer network. The only thing I'm not sure about with ProK is if they sell it with the ink stenciling in place. All of the labeling on the front panel is physically located on the screen protector, so if you peel it off you want to put one on that has the labels, especially if you rent out the unit. Otherewise you won't know which BNC connector is for an input, and output or timecode.

Is there any advice for taking it off/putting on the new one? Razor blade to start the edge? Heat gun to loosen the glue? Adhesive remover for left over glue? Plastic scraper/pry tool? I'm just going off of my personal experiences with other stuff of this nature. Thank you!

This is probably why I don't rent or lend out camera equipment (grip gear I do lend out) because people often just don't care. I've used my 7Q a lot and it's still in great condition, no scratches or very very minor scratches on the screen. It's very easy to avoid scratching the screen, seems like you have to be pretty careless to do it.
 
I was looking into getting some form of thickish plexiglass to stick on with velcro in the corners like lots of the bigger monitors have at rental houses.
Once the display and record options are set and the record trigger is on the camera, it shouldn't be a problem and can take a few knocks. Or possibly just leave the top and bottom button sections uncovered.

Even if i's just for use in dangerous situations it will probably only cost £10-15 to make.

You're going to cover a touchscreen with a sheet of Plexi? Won't that be a major pain to keep having to move out of the way? I always find that such covers are only good for shipping. They're usually so scratched up that I can't judge an image through it so never use one on set.

The Odyssey screen has a sheet of Gorilla Glass from Corning protecting it. Then there is our screen protector, which is quite durable. Replacements are list price US$35 and they are available from any of our dealers worldwide. Be sure to order the correct item Odyssey7Q or Odyssey7) to get a screen protector with the correct inking on it.
 
The gorilla glass and protector are all fine and good, no complaints there for usual shooting on a controlled set. But they wouldn't take a scratch or a knock from something blunt/pointy as an impact. I do a lot of work in crowds/public/extreme obstacle courses so my camera getting bashed into by other people is unfortunately a high risk for me.

Plus any ENG situations with large amounts of "cowboy" press with dslr's are also a big worry. They never look where they are going and I always seems to get smacked into by some idiot waving his camera above me for a shot. I can imagine a dslr hitting that massive screen from behind quite easily.

For on set controlled work I probably wouldn't use it apart from transportation. But I'd rather sacrifice having the plexi on those other jobs so I still have a screen left to use for the more important stuff!
