Just wondering whatever happened with the progress on this with the F35. Apologies if the question has already been answered and I'm just wasting space.

Thanks, beat me to it!

New firmware released today includes Apple ProRes 4444/4444(XQ) in 10-bit and 12-bit. F35 dual-link supported at 24p, 25p & 30p.

Works with F23 as well.

Just when I thought I was done spending money on gear they go an do this! Got to get a 7Q. Thanks Mitch it's so great that CD are bringing out updates for a camera over 5 years old, and for a very niche market of indie filmmakers it shows the company cares about all it's customers. And now you'll stop receiving the monthly question of "is 444 ProRes coming?" Good work ✌️

Thank you CD and Mitch!! This is amazing.

A few things I noticed so far...which don't bother me but would like to mention in case anyone else is also experiencing the same little bugs

-A bit of image tearing when first powering up the O7Q, however it goes away after recording the first clip (the image tearing is not recorded).
-There is a string of vertical pixels that are dancing in a straight line.
-The peaking function is seeing a HUGE amount of detail and noise from the sensor, rendering the function almost useless. Had to be around 20% to not get distracted by the dancing dots. Will test this in daylight tomorrow.

Lastly, the images are SO sharp and incredibly detailed! Thank you!

I am loading up the firmware now to do some 12-bit tests. Jo - the peaking issue seems to be more related to the F35 image grain than the way the 7Q works. I have tried TV logic peaking and it reacts the same way to the F35 image. I find the 8X zoom to be much more useful for focusing critical on the F35 with 7Q.

Like Jo, I also noticed a very minor vertical dancing pixel line (F35 12bit 444 to prores) that seems to vanish on screen when stopped down far enough. A second thing I discovered: if I boot up the f35 before the 7q, I get a major horizontal screen tear. Anyways, I'm excited about the remote record trigger and ordered as soon as I read about the new firmware!

Also, thanks to CD/Mitch for the gift that just keeps giving!

This is good, really good. Taking advantage of 12bits sounds great. But most importantly, 444 output on the F35 shows less chroma noise which is great!

Shout out to Jon McNeill, who loaned us his F35 for nearly a month so that we could complete testing of Apple ProRes 4444 & 4444(XQ).

Playing around a few days with new firmware. A few notes:

it is great not having to switch cables anymore, i have 50p 422 and 23.98 12-bit 444 as my main 2 formats.

7q seems happier if you power and set format in f35 before booting 7q.

mixing formats on one ssd seems to lead to tearing in playback. Fix for me has been to format drive and shoot all one format on each drive.

12-bit appears to have finer grain but maybe im crazy.
