I just spoke with someone who said they had a 7Q+ and they cannot get it to read the signal from either an A7s or the GH4. Has anyone had any luck with this?
They probably need a better HDMI cable or perhaps are trying to use multiple HDMI connector adapters. I don't have the cameras in front of me at the moment to go through the proper setup, but it can be a bit of a pain to navigate the menus, especially on the Sony. Once you have it done right it's quite easy, but if it doesn't work right on the GH4 either then I suspect the cabling.
Using one adapter is fine with a good HDMI cable, which is why we include an adapter in the box.Correct me if I'm wrong, but I've done a little bit of searching and I cannot find a Micro HDMI to Mini HDMI cable. So you have to have at least one adapter in the connection, right?
EDIT: Looking again on B&H and noticed that Atomos and Teradek are now selling short Micro HDMI to Mini HDMI cables for around $20-25. So there are a few out there, but doesn't look like anything longer than Atomos' coiled one that stretches to 17". Hopefully at least using one adapter is OK for if you're on a jib or something.

Starting this week we will include a complete solution for HDMI mini to micro. I believe it is 3' long and thin enough to comfortably coil up excess on a rig.

Happy Festivus!Haha, wow, since I owned the 7Q before the 7Q+ i didn't bother opening the white box (AC adapter) to find the HDMI adapter. Thanks for the heads up, Mitch.
