I did a job yesterday and had my Sony FS700 connected to the O7Q for 4K>UHD Prores recording as a B-cam and used the Varicam LT as an A-cam with UHD. Later on I used the O7Q as a monitor on my stabilizer with the Varicam LT. I changed to 50p (from 25p, but still UHD) on the Varicam and changed the input on the O7Q from Sony FS700 to Panasonic, since the screen just turns black if another camera is connected (one acutally has to pull the SDI-cable to be able to change settings then, for some reason). I forgot to change the record trigger, so it was set to camera. I discovered that after a while and changed it to recorder, since I recorded everything in camera. When I transferred the files from the O7Q disks it turned out that the O7Q actually had recorded the output from the Varicam in both 25p and "50p" and gave them different file names. When played, the "50p" files will be played in 25p, resulting in slow motion. The strange thing is that three files were recorded in 25p while two of them were also recorded in "50p". File 286 is in 25p and file 289 is the same but in "50p". File 287 is in 25p and file 290 is the same but in 50p. File 288 doesn't have a 50p version for some reason. Another thing that's weird is that the duplicate (50p) files are shorter, they are not complete.
The files are in 1920x1080, but I wonder what type of signal it is that is sent to the recorder. AFAIK it's a PsF signal, but is it 8-bit or 10-bit, is it 4:2:2?
