Odyssey 7Q 2K vs Internal Codec HD

Has anyone done any comparisons of the 2K Raw S-Log vs S-Log recorded on the internal codec? I know that 2K is recorded as 2048x1080 which is more pixels than HD, but is there any more detail with the raw image? I will mostly be using 2K by cropping the right and left sides to get HD 1080p. Also, is it possible to add more saturation with the Raw image then with the internal codec? With the internal codec I am a little bit disappointed in how difficult it is to get the saturation increased without it showing artifacts.

When I compared Magic Lantern Raw on my 5D Mark 3 vs the interal codec I was very surprised at the increase in detail and color in the image. Olof posted an image comparing the two with one still life, but has anyone done any testing comparing the two recording modes in different situations? I would love to see some different comparisons if possible? Or, any feedback anyone has from experience would be great, too.

Thanks so much! I am really interested in purchasing the Odyssey7Q. I just want to see how much better image I am likely to get with the device.

Regarding saturation and the internal codec: don't shoot in s-log. Try stock PP6 for a flat cinematic out of camera look which takes saturation well in post.

While 5D3 RAW has amazing color, I found it easy to match with FS700 footage (and iPhone too). The FS700 has more resolution than 5D3 RAW.

My 5D3 RAW and C100 have quite a bit more resolution detail than my FS700. I wonder if there is something wrong with my FS700? I use the same lenses with the metabones adapter with and without the speed booster and the resolution detail is much less than my other two cameras.

I've started to test OD7Q with my FS700, and Samurai too.

hope i will post couple of comparison footage from FS700 (internal AVCHD), ProRes from Samurai, and DPX & 2Kraw from OD7Q very soon.

FS700 has more resolution in charts and real world footage I have shot. For motion shots, 5D3 RAW will hold up better (FS700 can do the same with a Nanoflash etc.)
