Hello there!
After few months of hard work my recent film is finally finished !
"Ocalony" (english title "The Survivor") is a story based on actual events from life of one of the greatest poets of my country (Poland). It takes place during the WWII period, at the time when Poland was invaded by German army, and Russian soon after...
The film is not about the war itself, instead it's a story about life, love and brotherhood...
I directed it, wrote the script and did most of the scenes. Had second cameraman to help with few scenes. All done with no budget, some clothes bought very cheap on auctions, some stuff rented for free. Please feel free to visit the OFFICIAL WEBSITE , especially the gallery section. You'll find there some info about the project and some photos. It's my first serious project.
The premiere went great, the audience loved the film (there were over 100 people), some even cried at the end. Polish poet, Tadeusz Różewicz was there too. He liked the movie a lot ( it's based on his biography) and I was given a great honour to shake his hand and talk with him for a while.
I hope to share the whole movie as soon as I finish the english subtitles and find some web space to upload the file. It's 26 minutes long.
I hope you like it
Cheers.
