Obama Girl / T-Shirt Stills

[machardi]

My first time explicitly using the HVX for still photography. Should've done a little research, chose to shoot in 1080/60i. Some stylization and tweaking in photoshop. Any critique/advice more than welcome.

[endeavor]

i dont understand why you would use the HVX for still photography?

[ecking]

Me either.

yeah, every time i try to turn a screw i go for a hammer as well ; )

all kidding aside. there is a LOT of talk in the newspaper world about using video cameras. dont know all the logic behind it. butitseems to be working for some...

[machardi]

Yeah, sorry, better explain.

My friend was/is in a pinch, needed pictures for the web within hours, didn't have a photographer or a camera handy. All I had was my HVX.

That makes more sense then. Thought you were stark raving mad for a second then!

Looks okay - but maybe try and smooth the genital area of the chick in the first shot, looks a bit weird....
