Hi there,

This might have been discussed, but I couldn't find the thread...

How's it with changing recording modes?

- If I shot 240 fps can I change back to 24/50 without reformatting?
- how many different frame rates can I load?
- is it possible to change from Pro Res to RAW without formatting?

etc.

Cheers

- If I shot 240 fps can I change back to 24/50 without reformatting? YES

- how many different frame rates can I load? A LOT Basically, everything from 23.98 up to 240fps, in various modes/resolutions/codecs. You can find a complete breakdown on CDs website.

- is it possible to change from Pro Res to RAW without formatting? YES but you must switch back into the mode you recorded with to review/playback said clips.

You can switch signals and recording types at will without reformatting, including between RAW and Apple ProRes. Please be aware that some changes will require the Odyssey to load in new processing programming into its active memory, which can take up to three minutes. You may switch between supported frame rates at will. The Odyssey will automatically detect the change and adjust accordingly. Details of supported frame rates within the different record modes is noted on the Convergent Design website and in the Odyssey manual, available for download from the website.
