O7Q Drive cases

Anyone found any little plastic boxes that fit the O7Q SSDs nicely? I'm none too keen on sending out the recorder with them stored in plastic bags - nor simply leaving them loose in the box (what with those rather delicate looking pins exposed).

I was asking already:

actually I bought some of these neoprene pouches.
They are a little too long and quite tight but it helps
until I will find something better

Yes. I thought I saw a thread about that. But I couldn't find it. Hmmm. Not sure I'm too keen on the neoprene, I'd like something in solid plastic. Maybe I'll look in to a lock n' lock box.

I was making one out of fabric/plastic like a wallet. But now I am thinking about a solid plastic box with 6 slots for SSDs and a flip closed lid.

I am working on a 3D print of it right now.

Is 6 slots the right #? That would make the box about 1 ½" thick.

Any input would be appreciated.

Is a softish folding wallet better, or a solid box with a lid and slots better?

I should have photos of both solutions in a day or so. And a product early next week.

Stay tuned and please give me feedback.

six slots souns too many to me. I can't imagine most people having more than 4 SSDs

For myself, a nylon box that holds one SSD at a time...very much like the nylon, transclucent cases for SDHC and CF cards.

I would agree that 6 is too much. Like Cuervo, I think individual protection makes more sense, or 2 per case maximum.
I keep my filters in a soft folding wallet type. It does offer fairly good protection, except from rain and water.
In this case, a seal-able, shock resilient container might give the best piece of mind.

I've just ordered a peli 1020 micro case. It looks like the internal dimensions are just about right.

I was thinking the same. Checking out bhphoto there seems to be quite a few pelican cases that fit these ssd pretty well and not too pricey
