This was done a while ago internal compared to Odyssey footage. The footage out even as Slog2 is contras tier, but not crushed/blown. I think quite nice in fact.

I did not post right away because i was not sure if this was just cable problem or some other problem. But this is now verified by others as well. I spent quite a bit of time looking into this.

I was shooting with the Sony 24-70 f4 with a .9ND.

Thanks for sharing. What adapter did you use to convert HDMI to SDI? Have you had the opportunity to shoot in lower light settings and if so, is the SLOG2 noise looking a lot cleaner, gone, or just about the same but with more of a grainy feel? Appreciate the info Olof, thanks!

I was just using HD HDMI in 30fps and recording Sony Other mode to ProResHQ in the Odyssey, it works great, I like the result a lot. There will be a 4K solution for the O7Q as well as far as I have heard from CD.

We are aware of the gamma shift issue with HDMI and expect to have it corrected in our upcoming release. The Odyssey7Q can accept up to 1080p29.97 over HDMI, which is how I believe Olof sent the signal from his a7S.
