NYC DVXUser Meeting Cancelled!

Unfortunately, B&H had to CANCEL our meeting. Dave Brommer, who facilitated the meeting last time, was involved in an accident and will be out of work for some time. We've been told there's no one else that can help us and so they cannot offer us the room. We JUST found this out and don't think we're going to be able to come up with somewhere to meet in 3 days. I know many of you were looking forward to this, as I was, so if anyone has any idea of where we can get together, please post it or PM me.

THIS IS NOT THE END OF NYC DVXUSER MEETINGS! Even if we are unable to pull something together for this weekend, we will be back in May.

I have a meeting tomorrow night with a friend that has a big ass factory to see about creating a greenscreen room. I will see if maybe there is space there for the meeting. If so it probably wont be for this month though and its deep in brooklyn. The good side is that there is parking all over since its commercial neighborhood.
 
I know someone with a studio downtown. I will talk to her tomorrow about letting us use that as well. It's where I shoot my green stuff.
 
There's a bar in Hoboken with a nice private back room which has a big screen in it.
They may be open for Sunday afternoon meetings...but would probably expect some
people to drink. They have a good selection
of imported drafts.
I've used them for parties in the past.
Want me to ask them?
I also know of another location...I'll look into.

There is a coffee house on Staten Island that is usually open to things like that...

Ask for Joe, tell him Lance sent you. It's pretty close to the ferry terminal. I can't say if it'll be available, but worth a shot...
