I've been in contact with a nursing home about shooting a short promotional video including testimonials and campus life.
My gear includes a GH4 w/variable canon primes + speedbooster, tascam DR70D, audio technica 875R mic, and linco flora fleurescent light kit.
For the testimonials, I figured one camera is suffiecient. I can shoot a medium shot in 4K and punch into a closeup in post. I'm a little worried about capturing good audio though. I don't have a boompole so I was thinking about mounting the 875R mic onto one of my lightstands and feeding the signal into the DR70D. I'll have a rode videomic Go attached to my GH4 as a backup.
has anyone done similar videos for nursing homes in the past? Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.
also, the client asked about rates after mentioning only "a short promo video of campus life with testimonials." I gave him a rough quote for a one-day shoot to cost $500.. Thoughts on pricing?
