This was actually made by a couple guys from Ottawa. The SFX as well.
I don't know if they still live here but apparently they are from here. They just won 100 grand in an LG contest using this short.

You could never film this practically. It really makes me wish I knew something about special effects and computer graphics etc. I feel like I'm stuck in 1930's film-making.

Best I've seen anywhere. I wonder how many people were aware of the time elapsing while they were watching it. I wasn't even after seeing it 20 times or so.
