NTSC or PAL?

but i just thought you guys may not want to buy in italy to boicot italian products for the berlusconi "affair"?

Hmmm...I'm just thinking about that how much that new HVX200 is going to cost approx.? I mean if you buy a new DVX100a and get that 16:9 lens for it, I think it's going to be almost 4000-4500 EUR,-. ...hmm...any idea how much would the difference then between these cameras? Maybe I should start a new topic and ask about that prize...I've read about under 6000$...so is it going to be something like 5000,- in EUROS? Then the difference is not going to be so huge...
 
I live in a PAL country but bought an NTSC DVX100AP since most of the stuff I do ends up on DVD's for the international market. Every PAL playewr plays NTSC but not the other way around, so we produce all our DVD's in NTSC which saves the money for tranfer and the two batches while guaranteeing (sp?) the best quality for both.
 
Hey, moebius, did I ask you or who was it from Germany that do you know any good places there which sells PANASONIC DVX100a? I have managed to find only 1 place so far (www.mediatec.de) ... I think there are plenty of them... :)
 
Yeah, I guess there should be plenty. One place that always gave me good prices and service is http://www.vsh-online.com/ (better call or email them, I think the website doesn't offer too much). Another one would be http://www.wellen-noethen.de/ (same deal there ...). Another way would be to look up dealers on the Panasonic website but that confuses me too much to find anything right now. You could always get PAL and NTSC DVX's at http://bhphotovideo.com as well ... Good luck!
 
From what I've heard, and I could be wrong, the HVX could cost almost as much as 10,000€! :shocked: But I hope I understood wrong. And theres always a risk when you're buying something compleatly new. I have time to think about this stuff though, I was planning to buy the cam next Crishtmas. So if the hvx comes around fall, the prices are low enough, It gets good reviews And I manage to steal some more cash :grin: I just might buy it.

I also got very scared when I saw that prize when I was searching the net. So, if it's going to be under 6,000$ it's going to be very very vrey intresting...although it's a hell of a money! But the difference is really not that much then... :thumbup:
