November - opinions on the film

I just saw November today - filmed on the dvx. It looked great - nice cinematography and lighting.

However, i was kinda surprised at how much digital noise came through. In some of the dark scenes it was a bit overwhelming. In fact, there was one scene that i thought something was wrong with the projector.

Dont get me wrong - the well lit scenes all looked fantastic. I was just surprised at all the noise. I guess its another reason to save up for the hvx

anyone else see it - any other opinions.

yeah.. thats SD blown up. I think its actually better if there is gonna be grain to introduce it throughout the film, that way you get used to it (open water for example) instead of it knocking you out of your chair.

Reminds me of the days before 1st generation Vision stocks - it was a very grainy time.
